Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using storyteller-mari.com or any subdomain (collectively, the "Site"), or by purchasing any digital product offered through Gumroad under the Storyteller Mari brand, you ("you", "customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or purchase the products.

These Terms are entered into between you and Luan Rodrigues, operating as Storyteller Mari ("we", "us").

2. The Products

We sell digital printable products — coloring books, bedtime stories, learning printables, planners, and similar materials — designed for children and parenting use. Products are delivered as PDF or similar digital files via Gumroad.

You receive your purchase by email and via your Gumroad library immediately after payment.

3. License granted to you

Upon successful purchase, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:

• Print the file for personal household use (including your own children, foster children, grandchildren).
• Print the file for use in one classroom or small homeschool co-op (≤25 students).
• Re-print the file as many times as you need.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or distribute the file (digital or printed).
• Share the download link publicly or with anyone outside your household / classroom.
• Modify the file and claim authorship of it.
• Use the file or characters (Mari, Lumi, etc.) in commercial products of your own without a separate written license.
• Train AI / machine-learning models on the file's content.

4. Pricing, payment, and currency

All prices are shown in US Dollars (USD). Payment is processed by Gumroad, Inc. Applicable sales tax / VAT is added at checkout based on your billing country. By submitting payment you authorize Gumroad and us to charge the listed amount.

5. Refund policy

Because our products are digital and delivered instantly:

• Refunds are available within 14 days of purchase if you have not downloaded the file, OR if the file is corrupted, the wrong product, or significantly not-as-described.
• "Changed my mind" refunds after download are at our discretion — email support@storyteller-mari.com and we'll be reasonable.
• EU and UK customers have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal but waive it once they download the file (per Article 16(m) of the Consumer Rights Directive). Refunds for unopened files are unconditional during that window.

6. Acceptable use of the Site

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or reverse-engineer the Site beyond standard search-engine bots
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access
• Submit content that is illegal, hateful, infringing, or designed to harass
• Use the Site to send unsolicited communications
• Use automated tools to create fake newsletter signups or fake checkout traffic

7. Pinterest API — Terms specific to our integration

Where applicable to your use of features powered by the Pinterest API:

• You authorize us via Pinterest OAuth solely to perform the actions described at consent time (publish pins, read analytics, etc.).
• You may revoke that authorization any time at pinterest.com/settings/apps.
• You agree to Pinterest's own Terms of Service when interacting with Pinterest features.
• We will not store or use your Pinterest data for any purpose beyond what you authorized.

8. Intellectual property

All content on the Site and within the products — including illustrations of Mari, Lumi, story text, layout, photography, and audio — is owned by Storyteller Mari or licensed to us. Copyright © 2024-2026 Luan Rodrigues. All rights reserved.

9. User-submitted content

If you send us photos, testimonials, or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to use them in marketing (with the option to credit or anonymize). You can revoke this license for future use at any time by emailing us.

10. Third-party services

We use Gumroad (payments), Google (analytics), Vercel (hosting), Pinterest (ads/API), and SMTP email providers. Your interactions with those services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for their outages or policy changes.

11. Disclaimers

The Site and products are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Storyteller Mari be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or use. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or the products is limited to the greater of (i) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (ii) USD $50.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Storyteller Mari from any claim, demand, loss, or damages arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the products.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, for any reason, with reasonable notice (immediate if you breach these Terms). Sections that by their nature survive termination — IP, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law — will survive.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will first be attempted to be resolved by good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes will be submitted to the courts of São Paulo, Brazil, except where mandatory consumer-protection law of your jurisdiction requires otherwise.

16. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page and via email to active customers at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
